New Year

Well, it all seemed to be going reasonably ok until 07/ 01 and the awful events in Paris, where 12 people were murdered by extremists, followed by the murder the next day of another police officer and then four more innocent people slain at a supermarché.
Dreadful, shocking and just a waste.
Our thoughts are with everyone who has been affected by this tragedy.

Today, however, saw a fantastic display of unity in France (and the rest of the world that chose to join in).
Very moving and we can only hope that this is not a ‘one off’.
Life is too short and too precious to be filled with hate, fear and distrust!

Moving on from this horror, I’ve decided to attempt to shoot all my personal work on film this year…it’s worth a try.
Whether I’ll succeed or not is another matter. I really have got a bit tired of digital photography; it has it’s place- mainly with clients of course- immediacy guaranteed.
Well with no further waffle here are a few shots from a shoot today.
I have included a couple of 100% crops, not for any particular reason other than I quite liked them!

Fuji GX 680; 135mm and 210mm lenses, Fuji Portra 160 (pulled to 100) & Ilford Delta 100.
