October 09

Very busy start to the month, been a little bit less hectic this week thankfully.
In between jobs I’ve been managing to do some more personal work too.
Some more for my Metz at night series which I’ve started shooting on Kodak Portra 400 as well as black and white film. Quite pleased with the results so far.

Hasselblad 500C, Zeiss Distagon 50mm, Kodak Portra 400

A few from recent client portrait shoots (on digital)

Some film work with Cyndie and Evangelista

These ones shot with the Fuji GX 680 //210mm lens on Fomapan 400 (first two)
The last three shot on Rollei RPX 100

More of the same but shot on the Hasselblad 500C //150mm Zeiss Sonnar

Evangelista

Cyndie

I’ve discovered that the 500C doesn’t seem to work very well with radio triggers when firing flashes; most shots are underexposed. Different story when connected to flash with a cable- every shot is fine.
Not quite sure why this is, but it just is! So, I take no prisoners now…film costs money. I don’t like wasting it.

Off to look at a Durst M/F enlarger this afternoon. I would like to start printing some of my negatives “properly” rather than just scanning & posting online or, occasionally printing with the inkjet printer.

More to follow in the next thrilling October installment ;)
